Lemme get this out there… I LOVE pockets. Lots of pockets. In everything… except my luggage. Nothing worse than being on a plane and trying to find your headphones and rooting through fifteen different perfectly sized pockets in your under seat carry on to find out they were in your jacket pocket the whole time.
This bag fixes that problem by having exactly two pockets… one inside the back that your ear buds case will fit in and another small one on the outside that will fit maybe a snack pack. Perfect. Why waste interior storage needed for clothing or shoes on material for pockets you won’t use, or that will simply throw you into a panic-induced rage as an overworked flight attendant tells you to stuff it and get your seatbelt on like all the other kids on the plane? No reason, sez I.
The bag is beautiful. I mainly bought it for playing music gigs where I need a structured bag that won’t fall over next to my seat but also fits a flute, piccolo and an oversized music folder, plus a small tool bag with pencils, metronome, tuner, mini flute stand, etc. Also I can throw in a fold up seat cushion and a water bottle (make sure it seals well) and boom, everything I need, nothing I don’t, and all easy to get at without my bag flopping over into some else’s personal space knocking over their own set of musical paraphernalia.
Also, you can tell I’m not a professional musician because no pro can actually afford a bag this expensive, but it’s perfect for obnoxious amateurs with more money than talent and discipline.
