Una maravilla de mando, probablemente lo mejor de 8bitdo

Poco más puedo añadir. Es probablemente el producto más redondo de un fabricante que, para mí, es sinónimo no sólo de calidad en cuanto a mandos hechos por third parties sino de BUEN soporte y actualizaciones posteriores, cosa que hoy en día es tanto o más importante como la propia calidad del producto.

Todo en este mando desprende esa sensación de trabajo bien hecho. Se nota cómodo en las manos, la cruceta es buena, el tacto de los botones muy correcto, el plástico resistente y de calidad... La estética está claramente inspirada en los colores de la GameBoy original, otro punto a favor de los nostálgicos ochenteros.

En mi caso lo estoy usando con Switch, pero es un mando bluetooth compatible con un montón de sistemas diferentes, ya sea directamente o utilizando los adaptadores USB de la propia 8bitdo.

La verdad, no he controlado la duración de la batería, pero es más que de sobra para sesiones muy largas de juego sin que tengas necesidad de recargar, eso seguro.

En definitiva, es que no se me ocurre ni una pega que ponerle a este mando.

Inputs fantasma en el D-PAD (Ghost inputs)

Me compré este mando por el aspecto y las buenas reseñas que tenía, pero no lo recomiendo porque al cabo de un tiempo de unos dos meses o así, el D-PAD empezó a meter inputs fantasma, es decir, pulsaciones de botón aleatorias y no provocadas por el jugador.
No sé si es por la cruceta o por el joystick pero al cabo de 15 minutos o así jugando al Mario Maker 2 si dejas a Mario quieto se gira a mirar a la izquierda. Es horrible y super molesto. Si pagas 44€ por un mando esperas al menos que esté bien terminado o que no tenga estos fallos, pero recordemos que es una marca cina y es lo que tiene :)
Una pena porque la cruceta es bastante cómoda.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this controller, based on my experience with all three SN30 Pro+ models. The reason I went through three controllers is because the dpad had the same issue everytime and I had to return them. Basically the entire dpad button has way too much room to move and slide around within the cutout, this leads to scratching, incorrect inputs and is unpleasant to use. Been gaming since 1992 and I have never used dpad's that roam and scratch like these ones do so I consider this to be a defect. On a more positive note the rest of the unit is flawless.

The controller is a joy to hold for hours on end, it is very comfortable and also has analog triggers. Buttons in general feel high quality and I love the retro look. Another huge positive is the versatility, used it on Switch and PC mostly and had no issues with connectivity. Other noteworthy features include rumble, motion controls, software for customising controls and the ability to use batteries if ever needed. Just such a shame in the end, I was hoping the dpad issues were just manufacturing errors but three times in a row leads me to believe it is just poor design. As much as I want to own one of these I don't think I will bother pursuing a fourth purchase.

If the dpad was fixed in place and had a more rigid feel this would be my favourite controller ever and I would probably own mutliple versions for when mates come over. It's so close to being perfect but the scratchy, free roaming dpads were a deal breaker that I could not ignore despite my best efforts.

One of the worst Dpads I've encountered on a controller. It's loose in the housing so the dpad plastic ends up scratching against the housing plastic, it's unbearable.
The triggers are also not matched properly, the right trigger needs less force to actuate than the left, which also isn't great. Also not a fan of the rounded tops on the analogue sticks, having my thumbs on them doesn't feel nearly as good as on the Xbox One controller, but I guess this part is just subjective.
The other buttons feel fine, just the dpad and triggers are a huge let down on what could have been a pretty decent controller. Also the vibration feedback is fairly weak compared to what you get on an Xbox One controller.

Breaks after 6-months use - Warranty Unuseable

After much research, I thought I'd found the perfect replacement for my PS4 controller in the 8bitdo SN 30 Pro+. And for a time, it was great. Functioned well. As expected.

However, six months on, the right analog stick has developed extremely bad drift. Making games completely unplayable. I thought, well that's okay, perhaps this is just an odd defective batch? It's in warranty, so I contacted 8bitdo themselves expecting good customer service and for it to be organised to be fixed or replaced.

It took many emails before anyone responded. Then, I was asked to prove the defect by sending them a video. Which was okay I suppose, however it kind of insinuates that I'm lying when I described the fault. There was nothing on the video that I didn't describe in the email (right analog stick drift along the Y axis). It also took me a while to film the error, as I don't film the games that I play and had to find time to install and sort this out (a faff).

After this I was informed that whilst it was in warranty, I would have to send it to china in order to return the item. Despite 8bitdo having distribution within the EU and a store within the UK. Also, this seems like a deliberate ploy, as the shipping costs to china are more than it would cost to buy a new controller. I'm assuming that they've figured this out as a way to keep their warranty returns to a minimum, whilst not having to do good quality control on their products. I feel robbed.

As such, I won't ever be buying an 8bitdo produce ever again. And I advise you stay well clear from this company. Awful customer service.

When this controller works, it's great. It worked flawlessly for me on Switch, and the gyro was great for Splatoon 2. However, on PC this controller eventually bugged out, throwing out false inputs every microsecond, and became unusable. 8bitdo have a ways to go on their software, there are many complaints on reddit about their recent software updates, people recommend rolling back to earlier versions; this is no bueno 8bitdo, fix your software department! Otherwise a well built and comfortable controller.

This is the most useless controller I own. If you love your controller to disconnect at will from bluetooth and ruin your gaming experience... this is the controller you need. If you love it when your controller disconnects, your really gonna love it when you have to go through the whole re-pairing exercise, starting with “forget device”...

Yes folks, this is epic garbage imo. This is going back for refund. Return window closed on 24th feb? So the warranty is a month? Gucking farbage, as Dr Spooner would have said

Good while it lasted...

Poor longevity/components, sadly. A real shame as it's a lovely controller. It looks amazing and has a really nice feel of quality when you first start using it. A bit lighter than a pro controller and the rumble isn't as good, but the D-pad is infinitely better. It just feels nicer in the hand all around.

However, in this case a good thing was not meant to last. After admittedly peppering the A button bingeing on Animal Crossing, it started to stick. I only bought this item in October of last year so I'd had it about 8 months.

Checked online and found other people who'd had the same problem, which was tied to some issue with the plastic under the buttons. Raised with customer support and was eventually told that some parts would be sent from China to enable me to do the repairs myself, but adding that if they didn't arrive it was basically tough and they wouldn't send more.

I can't say I'd buy another of these, or another 8bitdo controller as this is the second I've had issues with. Given that they don't have a UK based repairs centre in the event things go wrong, I'll be lookin elsewhere for the sake of my own piece of mind.

I'll probably go back to official pro controller at some point. They're not exactly bulletproof either, but it's worth paying a bit extra for that reassurance.

I had a lot of positive things to say after purchasing and first trying the controller out, but that was only six months ago. I often have disconnecting issues (having to replug the wire when playing), and now the buttons are beginning to stick. At just half a year in, that is pathetic. I'm bitterly disappointed by what I thought was a quality controller. As it stands, the 8Bitdo SN30 Pro+ is an overpriced piece of crap.

Cannot recommend this controller, 3 months after getting it, controller would just drop connection to switch. After troubleshooting it by trying various combinations listed in a number of reddits having same issues, Im not able to power on the controller anymore. There is a known problem with battery controller and I'm guessing this is the same one as even regular batteries will not bring it back to life(Latest firmware)

There are other options on the market yet not as versatile, I really liked the controller, but the quality of it is definitely on the low side. Just a paperweight now.
