Aún no se si es un juego regular o un engaño, no tiene nada que ver con los juegos de pokemon, están sueltos por el césped y puedes verlos, y los capturas lanzando la pokeball a un círculo que se agranda, no tiene sentido esto en pokemon, es una manera de manchar la saga, sus juegos siempre han sido los mismos y han triunfado igual o mejor que nunca, innecesario este contenido

As a millennial, this game sounded amazing and I bought the Switch just to play this, and pre-ordered it. Now that it's arrived and I'm about £300 lighter, it's not what I expected. Basically, the deal breaker is that you can't fight wild pokemon. You can only throw poke balls and berries at them. This means when you're surrounded by 10 pidgeys, all you can do is catch them and gain exp for your pokemon that way, or run. It just seems totally pointless to me. I have until the end of January to decide whether or not to return it, so I haven't decided yet. Its likely I will.

What a waste. I thought this was gonna be a proper Pokémon game but with the Go type of capturing.. No.. the capturing is pretty much the Whole Game. This was gonna be my first proper Pokémon game after seeing how the old games played and got excited for the pre-release. Nintendo didn't release enough info about the game to realise it was this crap. Less than 30 mins and I am returning for refund.

Capture style and lack of battles with wild Pokémon ruins it

Pokémon capturing ruins it. I realised that go-style capturing was involved but didn't anticipate that this meant the only practical way to train Pokémon was capturing hundreds of the same one again and again. No thought to the impact the capture style would have on the game play. It has ruined the original game. A shame because they've made it look nice and ironed out a few of the other links but this just dominates it.

My problem is with how easy and just generally bad this game is, there is no challenge what so ever and sure it has pretty graphics but it removes so much.

Things removed from this game:
•Battling wild Pokemon.
•Pokemon abilities.
•Breeding.
•Truly random encounters.

Pokemon Red was my first game (when I was 7) and unfortunately that was a far greater challenge than this one. I have completed the game and pokedex twice now after two weeks and 60 hours of gameplay. There is a lot of stuff missing; game corner, wild pokemon battling, no bicycle, weakening wild pokemon to catch, pokemon abilities, global trade station and fishing. I could forgive this quite easily as there are some good new features. However there is next to no post-game. There are a few repeatable battles (gym leaders and elite four) but due to the new catching mechanics and overworld spawns the pokedex is really easy to complete, the only other thing you can do is shiny hunt pokemon. In order to level up post game you have to catch hundreds of the same pokemon, but there isn’t much point as you can’t use them in many battles anyway. The experience gained for your party is greater for catching than battling.

Overall I spent around £110 on the pokeball controller (at £40 it is £15 more expensive than a single joycon and not compatible for any other game), £50 on the game itself and £20 on a yearly online subscription. The online is awful by the way only allowing you to trade pokemon and do single or double battles. These can only be accessed through using a link code and not just entered like the global trading station or global battling station. There are no tournaments and you have a choice of around 10 pokemon to use if you want to win any online battles because the others aren’t strong enough.

I seriously doubt this game would be much of a challenge for a 4 year old child.

I've never been into pokemon before and even less so after playing this. I bought it as when I saw reviews everyone raved about it and said you can either catch pokemon or battle or do both. You can not walk two steps without a battle. I felt there was little instructions or explanation about anything. It's battle after battle after battle of frustration and boredom. It does however keep you playing as the constant sense of small achievements from the repetitive battles.

This game sucks. It’s great to see a proper 3D Pokemon game and the wild encounters being optional doesn’t be bother me as much as I thought it would but the removal of battling wild Pokemon takes most of the fun out of the game. Grinding levels is a tedious task of catching Pokémon now instead of just having to fight them which as a long time fan of the series, I don’t like and everything else just generally feels dumbed down too much. The graphics are cool though

Must say I was a little disappointed by this game. Was excited to play it but ended up just being far too easy and was a chor to complete it. They need to introduce a harder difficulty setting for advanced players. Won’t buy another until this happens.

Also why are all conversations in text why not add a bit of language into the game.

Everything about the actual map and art style is great but man if this isn't the most repetitive, tedious game i've ever played for £44.99 then I don't know what is. I put in a good 15 hours and it's literally walk 2 steps pokemon battle, walk 2 steps pokemon battle. Hoping the core games that come out soon have more variation. I can understand that this is simply meant to cash in on pokemon go but if that's the case don't charge £44.99.
