The decision to attend a funeral in a town she's never heard of throws her safe world into disarray, exposing the cracks in her life. As she deals with the fallout, Christie moves into a rundown cottage she's inherited and there, makes a discovery.
Fifty years ago, a young artist with a broken heart waited each dawn on a jetty for his true love to return. And each night, he wrote her a love letter.
What Christie uncovers will change her life forever.
This is a beautiful tale of love - sometimes lost, sometimes found and sometimes both. This is also a book with a mystery to solve which keeps your interest in the story. The author did an amazing job writing this book. The characters were well developed, the story was unique, and the descriptions helped you to feel the emotions, smell the scents, and visualize the persons, places and objects. I highly recommend this book if you enjoy romance with a bit of mystery and a HEA. Karen Thurmer.

Daphne Jones is invited to an exclusive conference in the high country in Victoria. The annual meeting of wedding officiants is her first and she's excited to attend sessions with her peers. In between a bit of spoiling, of course.
Within hours of John leaving for an overnight camping trip to the best fishing river in the region, Daphne is knee-deep in a fountain full of puzzles in the middle of the night. Literally. Was there really a body in the water feature or is this an elaborate hoax?
A note arrives with a terrible warning. Murder is on the menu at the banquet. But who is the target? People are quick to point fingers at Daphne whose sleuthing reputation preceded her. She suspects there a whole lot more going on in this Bridgerton-style hotel and between power outages, planted evidence, and lost diamonds, closes in on the killer.
Until the only way down the mountain is blocked.
Book three in the Daphne Jones Mysteries puts Daphne in the middle of someone's dangerous game and it might take more than her homemade cookies to get her out of this alive.
The forest town of Shady Bend is known for its crafts, preserves, and local produce. It is not known for disappearing bodies let alone a mysterious spate of crimes!
Daphne came to officiate a funeral for Edwina Drinkwater but in a shocking twist, the deceased vanishes before making it to the grave. The sudden death of a mourner who kept records of other people's indiscretions evokes Daphne's inner sleuth. Was the murder payback?
Who has hidden Edwina’s remains? Was it the neighbour who wants her land, the disgraced local doctor, or her fiercest competitor in the world of preserves and jams?
With judging underway at the local country show, the suspects come together all determined to obtain Edwina’s famous secret sauce recipe. But as the body count rises, Daphne is the only person standing between the killer and the truth.
The Shadow of Daph is book two in this new cozy series by the author of The Stationmaster's Cottage, where Daphne first appeared as a supporting character.
Daphne Jones adores her new career as a travelling celebrant, visiting a different small town every week to marry happy couples or help with sad goodbyes.
But it isn’t supposed to be both at the same time!
When a member of a bridal party ends up face down in a swimming pool, Daphne embraces her inner sleuth, believing this death was no accident.
Amid old family feuds, resentful relatives, and missing funds, there are plenty of suspects, and none of them appreciates Daphne snooping in their business. One wants her out of town, one wants her reputation destroyed, but with a heart of gold and a way with words, this celebrant sleuth is not giving up. Unless the killer finds her first...
Daphne and John originally appeared in The Stationmaster's Cottage as supporting characters but insisted on their own series.
Charlotte Dean is finally living the life she wants. Happy in her small town of Kingfisher Falls with a great job and loving boyfriend, everything is perfect.
But when a terrible accident shocks the community, Charlotte suspects there is more to it. Much more. And the chance sighting of someone from her old life forces Charlotte to face her past head on.
But are the events linked, and who is really behind the planned shopping mall near the bookshop?
Christmas is just around the corner and Charlotte has every intention of making it the best one ever for the residents and shops of Kingfisher Falls.
After the success last year of the bookshop's 'Giving Box', she's roped eleven other traders into joining her 'Giving Tree' project. But the new mayor wants the project to fail, and he is quick to blame a recently returned, down-on-their-luck local when some of the gift cards go missing.
Meanwhile, Trev has a new constable to train and can't seem to find the right moment to propose to the woman he loves. As the thefts devastate the town and shoppers avoid Kingfisher Falls, Charlotte faces a big decision when news about her past casts doubt on her future.
With days before Christmas, can Charlotte solve the mystery of the missing cards and exonerate the accused local, or will the person behind all the crime in town finally take their revenge?
