5 out of 5 stars
"Another great read from Pendelton C. Wallace. I find myself wishing there another book to read about these characters as soon as I finish. If you are looking for entertaining fast paced actions this is the author for you. If you haven't read any of his work, good for you, as you can keep on going until you've read them all."
5 out of 5 stars
I love Cat as a special human whom I can relate ...
"This book is so fast paced, just up my alley. I love Cat as a special human whom I can relate to.....Some of the characters are so politically incorrect that one can't help but smile. The plots are interesting and relevant and eye opening. Don't read if you are put off by explicit sex. Read if you can appreciate a great story line."

Ted finally gets up the nerve to propose to Maria. What happens next will take your breath away. Our crew is pitted against the world’s most wanted drug lord as the body count soars.
As they say on TV, this story was ripped from the headlines.
The tale ends with a shock you won’t see coming.

ByClyde Winnstonon October 26, 2016
Shades of El Chapo--the real-life Mexican cartel leader! Much of Wallace's novel could be snatched directly from today's headlines.
The book is an action-packed adventure involving the search for El Posolero (Think of the Mexican dish posole), so named because he likes to murder his enemies, dispose of their flesh, and send the bones to their families. El Posolero will stop at nothing to gain control of drug trafficking in Baja California. But he doesn't reckon with the likes of continuing series characters Ted Higuera, Cat Flaherty, Chris, et al.
A sub-plot deals with a ruthless partner in Chris' father's law firm trying to oust Harry's wife and son from the firm after the father's death.
Wallace's plot grabs the reader's attention and holds it from the first page to the last. It's a fun read, filled with manly men and gorgeous women and lots of gun fights.
I must say I'm glad Penn Wallace gave me an advanced reading copy in trade for an honest review. I certainly enjoyed the book and am sure you will too.

New thriller author leaps to the center of the pack

I read thrillers; they're my genre of choice. Vince Flynn. Brad Thor and others, starting, of course, with Tom Clancy, Nelson DeMille and Robert Ludlum for many years. I list these names so you can trust I know what I'm talking about. Pendleton Wallace is someone you need to add to your list. I gobbled this one, with its realistic plot, great dialogue, a local's knowledge of the area he was writing about, and an insider's understanding of computer hacking, and immediately jumped into his second book. I just finished his third, and am reading the teaser first chapter of his fourth. Book 2 was just as good as book 1, which rarely happens with new authors. Book 3 I gotta confess, I had to accept the implausible not once but twice -- the second situation, however, about a mysterious panther, I understood was in keeping with the story line -- in order to continue the adventures of people I'd come to know and wanted to know better. You will enjoy the time you spend with Pendleton Wallace's books. You'll come back for more.

Christmas Inc.: A Politically Incorrect Tale of What Happens When Santa Goes Public (English Edition)
21-nov-2013
2,69 €
8,44 €
Warning: This is not a children’s book. Exposure to children under 12-years old may cause child to stop believing in Santa Claus or take a cynical view of Christmas.
What would happen if Santa decided to go public and sell shares of Christmas on the NASDAQ?
The Wall Street Journal called it “the biggest IPO (Initial Public Offering) since Facebook.”
But, with the influx of capital comes a host of problems. Now Christmas Inc. comes under public scrutiny. Santa must report to the stockholders and stockholders want to see a profit.
When the economy collapses and Christmas Inc. is in danger of bankruptcy, the Government deems Christmas Inc. “too big to fail.” Santa must accept a government bailout. With the bailout comes increased regulation.
So how does Santa solve his problems? He does what every other major CEO does: cut costs. First, he hires illegal burros from Mexico to pull his sleigh. Then he outsources toy making to China and his IT services to India.
This throws thousands of elves out of work. Most leave the North Pole to find work elsewhere. Christmas Inc. follows the lives of three elves caught in the turmoil.
Henry moves his family to New York to pursue the American Dream. As illegal immigrants, they try to make a life for themselves in mainstream America.
Duncan gathers a group of friends around him, forms a co-op, rents a closed down workshop at the North Pole and starts a toy company to compete with Christmas Inc.
Always the rebel, Alstair starts the Occupy North Pole movement. Sit-ins, political rallies, protests and speeches quickly spread around the world. Before you know it there are Occupy Wall Street, Occupy Paris and Occupy San Francisco movements.
Add in a James Bond-style super villain, Hu U, a general in the Peoples’ Liberation Army of China. Santa outsources his toy making to Joy International, a company under General Hu’s control. Unbeknownst to Santa, Hu’s goal is nothing less than total world domination (of Christmas). Hu’s factories start shipping toys covered with lead based paint, containing melamine, small parts that can choke a child and faulty welds.
Can Santa save Christmas and return us to our cherished values?
Christmas Inc. is a rollicking, politically incorrect satire on the state of our society.
