Una puesta en escena tremenda, un repertorio apoteósico, rodeado de unos increíbles músicos, Zimmer nos hace llegar al éxtasis, en poco menos de 15 minutos, desplegando todo su potencial y el de los músicos, junto con un coro magistral.

Poco que decir, la calidad de imagen es soberbia y el sonido es brutal, lleno de momentos mágicos, con el público levantándose en mitad del espectáculo, con las anécdotas del propio Zimmer em la previa de muchos temas, si te gusta la música de cine, es de compra obligada, mas allá de la selección de los temas, es puro espectáculo audiovisual.

Casi un mes buscando el dichoso concierto en tiendas físicas modelo "gran superficie", al final opté por comprarlo en Amazon, harto de que me mareasen. Ha llegado puntualmente y la verdad es que en pleno puente de la Constitución + el de la Inmaculada, es algo de agradecer.

El concierto es espectacular, se mire por donde se mire. Aunque echo en falta algún extra, entrevistas con los músicos, con el público...En definitiva, algo más de chicha. Si no pudiste ir a verle en directo (ya que Hans Zimmer no baja de los Pirineos con el Tour), es una compra más que recomendable y que ayudará a aliviar el ansia hasta que vuelva de gira o hasta que se digne a tocar en España.

El concierto grabado en este Blu-ray es espectacular, muy buena calidad del concierto, con una gran orquesta en la que están representados todos los instrumentos posibles, incluso los cellos eléctricos. Ver dirigir y a la vez tocar al mismo Hans Zimmer varios instrumentos es muy emocionante. La orquesta interpreta con destreza pero también con agilidad temas archiconocidos. Es espectacular oír Gladiator o los piratas del Caribe a toda la orquesta en vivo, con rapidez, con agilidad como si fuera un sólo solista. La voz solista cantando el tema de Gladiator es también memorable, con todo el estadio en silencio. Impresionante en su conjunto el concierto.

Imagen y sobretodo sonido espectacular
La pista Atmos es brutal , los que tengáis un buen equipo Dolby Atmos vigilad no se os venga la casa abajo porque es impresionante como suena.
En mi caso lo he reproducido con una barra Dolby átmos y es espectacular , no quiero ni pensar como sonará en un equipo Atmos auténtico.

Poco más que añadir al título de esta reseña, un concierto sublime con los mejores temas de Hams Zimmer interpretados de forma magistral. El bluray incluye un pequeño libreto de tres o cuatro páginas con el programa del concierto título a título y algunas fotos del mismo. La calidad de imagen y sonido muy buena, acorde a un bluray. 100% recomendado.

Es indescriptible, hay que verlo para saborearlo, el mejor concierto que he visto en una tv en mi vida, y llevo unos cuantos... en cuanto al sonido con dolby atmos, hay que oirlo para creerlo, simplemente brutal. Los que teneis dolby atmos, ya tardais en comprarlo. Una delicia visual i auricular. 👏👏

First off: Despite the warning at the top of the product info for this Blu-Ray it did not come as Region A, and was perfectly compatible with my Blu-Ray player. Amazon need to check the stocks they have, as this info could unnecessarily put people off purchasing. If unsure, do contact customer service before buying.

I've been lucky enough to see Hans Zimmer and his exceptionally talented friends on both legs of the tour. And the hairs on the back of my neck raised the second time around, just as they had the first.

Having this Live Blu-Ray now means I can relive the beauty and talent of one of the best film composers in modern times, and also get to watch in awe the amazing people he took on tour with him: Tina Guo, Yolanda Charles, Guthrie Govan and many many more.

This is certainly a "best of" in terms of the over 150 scores Zimmer has worked on, but he pulls out so many gems from his career. From modern scores such as Man of Steel which mix in classical music with modern electronics, to early scores such as Rain Man and a certain fan favourite, The Lion King.

So, turn off the lights, turn up the volume and prepare to be amazed. This is worth it!

Just an aside, I think the sad bit about the Blu-Ray was no behind the scenes extras (if you look at Zimmer and the bands Facebooks during the tour you would have seen the special relationship and fun they had on tour), or adding of two new pieces which were on the 2017 tour: Is She With You (Wonder Woman theme from BvS) and the Thelma and Louise theme. A shame as they were added to the already brilliant set-list and just made my day!

However, this is worth it and don't forget to add the accompanying CD to your shopping list (needs to be heard via headphones).

Wir kennen Hans Zimmer vor allem von Gladiator. Erst auf der Blu-ray erkennt man noch viele Soundtracks die man doch schon gehört hat.
Doch nun zur vorliegenden Live in Prag.

Der technische Aufwand ist enorm. Alle Töne der Streicher, Bläser, des Chores und der Band aufzunehmen und perfekt zu mischen ist eine Herausforderung für jeden Tontechniker. Ich denke das es sehr gut gelungen ist. Dafür 5 Sterne

Licht: Für den Zuschauer in Live bestimmt noch viel besser anzusehen als im TV. Auch sehr gut. Auch 5 Sterne.

Sound: Es ist meine erste Blu-ray mit Dolby Atmos. Beim ersten Mal ansehen habe ich bewusst im Menü die Einstellung PCM gelassen. Danach angehalten und auf Dolby Atmos umgestellt. Da bleibt einem der Mund offenstehen. Obwohl ich in meiner Anlage keine Höhenlautsprecher habe, ist der Sound absolut Spitze. Lediglich der Tiefbass ist z.T. etwas zu mächtig. Lässt sich aber im Menü des Pioneer Receivers leicht anpassen.
Auch dafür vergebe ich 5 Sterne. Damit sind wir bei 15 Sterne !!!

Allgemein: Das Hans Zimmer zu vielem etwas sagt, auch oftmals etwas lustig empfinde ich als sehr angenehm. Man bekommt vor allem einen kleinen Einblick in diese Materie.

Für meine Frau und mich ist aber der Soundtrack von GLADIATOR das Highlight der Blu-ray. Der ist leider, finden wir etwas zu kurz gekommen.
Unsere Empfehlung. Kaufen, und macht Euch ein schönes Weihnachten.

I thought the Gladiator theme would be the highlight of this concert, so I did wonder why Hans hadn't kept what I considered to be his best work, until the end, rather than placing it near the start of the concert. So you can imagine how thrilled I was to find out that every bit of the concert was fantastic. The whole performance just gets better and better all the way to the very last note - completely faultless - well over two hours of ecstacy. One word of advice, before you play this concert turn your sub down, it is certainly not bass shy.

Hans Zimmer has scored more than 120 films, which have, combined, grossed over $24 billion dollars at the worldwide box office hits. Hans Zimmer was personally involved with the animated film project of the DreamWorks Animation ‘THE BOSS BABY.’ Achievements for his impressive and influential body of work, including in receiving his Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2010, and in 2014 was honoured with the Zurich Film Festival Lifetime Achievement Award. Blu-ray Image Quality – Eagle Rock Entertainment brings us this totally brilliant ‘HANS ZIMMER: LIVE IN PRAGUE’ that has been brought out with the best top quality 1080p image presentation with this Blu-ray format, that gives you the impression that you are watching a 4K Blu-ray disc, that gives you a visual technique that are out of this world, where you will observe amazing images that is characterised by highlighting totally sharp colours that really blows you away, which is displayed together with a brilliant sharpness in image quality rendering something that is more than perfect. Without going on about the 1080p image, this is a totally perfect for the Blu-ray format and gives us a lot of surprises, I can freely write that the quality of the image reproduction value is given to us in a totally sensational recorded ultra-realism, that will also blow you away with such awesome stunning images, that to me is without doubt on par with other recorded concerts I have in my other Blu-ray discs and the ‘HANS ZIMMER: LIVE IN PRAGUE’ concert, and is definitely 100% reference quality for Blu-ray images, that will blow away any visitors who view this Blu-ray disc. So all in all I was blown away in what I viewed and was totally awe struck that what you will view will be the icing on the cake I should image the audience felt it was even more spectacular being there totally live! Take for example the medley that opens the concert, which is ‘DRIVING MISS DAISY’ Opening Medley: Driving [‘DRIVING MISS DAISY’] / Discombobulate [‘SHERLOCK HOLMES’] / Zoosters Breakout [‘MADAGASCAR’] and you see everyone walk onto the stage and the Medley starts off fairly quiet and then as time goes by each person with their instrument builds to make a massive wall of sound that is an absolutely mind blowing experience and really sets the bar high for the rest of the concert and you get to hear all the instruments work their magic and all the speakers get a really good workout with clear precise positioning of all the instruments and the Blu-ray really highlights all the instruments so distinguished and sharp with the 1080p image quality. Technical prowess is totally natural and more than anything, once again the quality of the bright stunning colour images took my breath away and is a totally amazing experience and certainly captures why Blu-ray discs always gives us the awesome stunning images we deserve and offers a deep record in the sense of space and dynamics that are a resounding success for this awesome Hans Zimmer concert that will make you feel you are actually there and this Blu-ray disc that will not disappoint, in fact you will want to do a regular repeat viewing of this totally awesome Blu-ray disc, that again you will think you are watching a 4K Blu-ray disc, that is totally spectacular and will give you also a totally spine tingling experience and caused me to get very emotional in what I was viewing. But be warned if you are affected by lots of flashing and strobing lighting, as there is a vast amount of this type of lighting effects.

Blu-ray Audio Quality – With this Eagle Rock Entertainment Blu-ray disc, you experience a totally spectacular audio soundtrack, which is brought to you in an even more awesome sound design with English: 7.1 Dolby ATMOS, English: 7.1 Dolby TrueHD Surround Sound and English: 2.0 LPCM Stereo Audio which is okay, but not so spectacular. But for those who cannot view the Blu-ray with the 7.1 Dolby ATMOS audio experience, then the 7.1 Dolby TrueHD Surround Sound audio experience is something I can assure you will take your breath away with this audio total perfection, especially as everything is facilitated by the fact that it is a technically managed masterpiece. With the orchestration and the voices of choral singers is so totally natural in this particular concert environment and gives you effect that you are hearing it like an actual studio recording, but of course live and totally realistic! So, all in all it is so technically and professionally impressive, and as always you get total technical brilliance collaboration from the engineers and together it is 100% perfectionists. The dynamics sounds you experience is also totally delicious, the voices are well placed and the sound mixing those singers with the orchestra is a very enjoyable experience and you get experience totally brilliant professional musicians that really captures the whole concert experience a very professional post production that is 100% near on total perfection of sound reproduction and especially with sincerity. Overall, the work of the 7.1 Dolby TrueHD Surround Sound track is a totally mind blowing event, but the 2.0 LPCM Stereo Audio track seemed very simplistic in comparison. Anyway, since you have the choice of the 7.1 Dolby TrueHD Surround Sound and the 2.0 LPCM audio track it is of course a matter of choice, but I will always go for the7.1 Dolby TrueHD Surround Sound track, as this really shows you how a concert of this calibre should be heard. This Blu-ray is of course a total MUST for all concert aficionados who want to experience the best results from an awesome ultimate concert as this one! And one that is also an amazing technical innovation that the press had reported with the Hans Zimmer Concert Tour saying that was a feast of joyous experience and it was a riveting meditation, to say with nothing but respect, and added a depth to the night that reminded everyone why Hans Zimmer’s music is so impactful. But to simply remind you that because of this Blu-ray format it brings a real bonus in terms of sound quality and it is brilliantly more defined, and more importantly, those extra exclusive information on the Blu-ray disc is a brilliant technical specifications of the highest standard experience of a totally awesome ambient sounds that are produced and again totally envelopes you with all your speakers giving you an audio experience that you will not forget in a very long time. So well done Eagle Rock Entertainment. But be warned, there are some musical interludes in the concert that gets very loud and make sure your neighbours are not around, as your walls will shake from the loud sounds that enemata from your speakers.

Blu-ray Special Features and Extras: Sadly there are no Special Features or Extras, which is a crying shame, as I am sure they must have some behind-the-scene filming and interviews from all involved in the concert?

BONUS: Beautiful 12-page full colour booklet, with full information about the concert, full listings of the music programme, full technical details, full listings of the musicians and stunning images from the concert.

I discovered this release quite by accident when a YouTube video was recommended to me featuring the Pirates of the Caribbean section of the concert. I am glad I did, it is excellent, featuring some of the best scores Hans Zimmer and freinds have composed, played superbly by some of the worlds best musicians.

Image quality is a bit grainy in the darker scenes but these are short lives and overall the images are sharp and detailed with very little noise. The Atmos soundtrack is very good too with plenty of bass so you will need to make sure your sub woofer is set up correctly to truly appreciate it. There is plenty of dynamic range too which will please audiophiles but not necessarily their neighbours.

Highlights include Crimson Tide, Gladiator with a superb vocal by Czarina Russel, Pirates Of The Caribbean, The Thin Red Line, a favourite of Johnny Marr who is in the band and other well known soundtracks. Its over 2 hours long so plenty to enjoy.

If you like Hans Zimmer movie scores, I cannot recommend this enough.
