Great for anxious dogs!

When my rescue Shiba inu started to become anxious on car rides I knew I needed to find something to help her.

Before this item we had her harness strappled into one of those pet belts. The only problem we had was that shed still wonder the back seat, no matter how short we made the belt, shed always have room to move. The boyfriend has leather chairs too. So the moment hed break or turn a corner. Her furry little bum would slide all over. Couldnt tell you the amount of times she ended up slipping all over the place, once she slipped into the footwell and one time she got free of the belt and ended up climbing through the front seats and on me. All this between vet visits made her a very anxious passanger, who would cry and shake.

When I saw this product I knew we had to give it a try. Price margin in my opinion was very high, however I decided to jump in and go for it. And I am glad I did! I now have 2, one for each of the cars.

This little booster seat is amazing. We have gone from anxnious dog who cried in the car and did nothing but shake to a dog who has mastered Zen. Its made her comfortable on car rides, she can see out the window if she wants to or sleep in it, which she does a lot! Shes tried escaping the seat once (shibas are well known for being escape artists and stubborn when they get an idea) She didnt get too far due to the harness attachment.

The structure of the item is great too. Its very nice and stirdy. Im not worried she will break the seat nor am I worried she will fly out if we stop suddenly. The quality of the product is great. Loads better than the cheaper seats out there.

Id love it if they did a slightly bigger seat, but Shibas are quite like cats, if they fits they sits! Needless to say, I am a very happy dog mum. We now go all over the place for long walks as we know she looks forward to sitting in her seat.

I bought this for my 9month old Dachshund as a safer way to travel with him in the car. I used to have just a seatbelt for him that attached to his harness which worked ok but he’d climb over me and couldn’t be sat in the front with my partner when he drives.
He was a little unsure of the basket at first and I was worried the frame would buckle under his struggles but it stead fast and help up. He soon calmed down and lay down in the basket. I think I might need to put a few more blankets in the bottom as he was able to pull up the bottom panel, and had trouble laying his head on the side.
As you can see by the pictures though he was content and as a bonus was still able to look out the window when he wanted to (he loves to watch cars).
It lost a star as I did notice it slipped down a bit under his weight, but still held up above the seat. If I could only mark it down half I would. It was easy to fit and he seemed overall happy with it, so I was to! There was plenty of space for him to sit, lie down and move around, as he won’t get much bigger (being a mini dachshund) he won’t outgrow it.
Pretty happy with the purchase so far!

I ordered this car seat half expecting to send it back. However, it is absolutely fantastic! It is very sturdy and goes in the back and front seats easily. Our border terrier fits in perfectly with room to spare (he weighs 9kg) and loves the security of the seat, as well as being able to see out - previously he was in a crate. Best of all I now have my car boot free for luggage!

I should first of all mention that I almost never leave reviews because rarely does anything stand out. This morning, that changed!
Our little Jack Russell pup is really hideous in the car, he squiggles around and whines CONSTANTLY...and for a little guy, it's incredibly loud! He has a particularly foul yawn/howl/screech which sounds like a siren, it's horrible and distracting.
Anyway, since we've had him I've really noticed how much I can feel the engine rumble, and wondered if it was that making him feel a bit blegh.
I was lucky enough to find this seat with a hefty price reduction, but even at full price, it would be so worth while!
I installed the seat earlier, it's pretty easy, even with a naughty puppy on your lap. It did take me a minute to realise that you can take the strap with the carabiner off, to get it around the seat belt.

I buckled up with my new favourite co-pilot and headed off, without the security of another human passenger on standby. I was a little nervous at first because I thought he'd do some awful stunt and be a huge distraction, or he'd twist around and panic. Nope!
His whining was immediately reduced by 90%, he just sat and looked out of the window, and by the time we got to the pet shop, he was asleep and I had to wake him up!
I can only assume it was the rumbling, and that he feels nice and secure in his little seat, or that I was making him feel nervous on my lap, because I was probably tensing up when he kicks off.

We're now no longer dreading having to take him on a fairly long journey in a couple of weeks. This little seat is life changing!

I purchased two Kurgo booster seats for my Toy Poodle puppies. I had first tried them in a crate and canvas travel kennel in the car, none of which they liked until I purchased the booster seats. The seats made them feel safe. They could be adjusted so they could look out the window or as in the case with one of my puppies, he liked to lie down in it for travelling. The straps were strong and well made, fixing the booster seat securely to the car seat and we’re of a quality that could not be chewed readily. The box seat is made of strong metal, with removable fabric and pad insert for easy washing, but like another customer stated, needed more padding around the top edge as it would be uncomfortable for a small dog leaning over the edge of the seat and feeling the metal frame through the fabric. I just used a thick towel to give the extra padding under my puppies chins and it worked a treat. I recommend this product because it gives my dogs a high level of safety and security while travelling

Nice bright colour and sturdy frame which isn’t very comfortable for a pup to lean against when the vehicle is cornering. It didn’t sit well against the back of my bucket seats. It isn’t tall enough for my pup to hide and feel safe. She was frantic at times attempting to climb out and reach me despite the restraining belt. Also, there isn’t a back to protect the rear of my seat. I purchased a plain black wipe over seat for half the price fulfilled by Amazon which acts to line the complete seat. It was big enough to put a cushion and small comfort blanket inside. After a few minutes of whining my pup settled and in my extra rear seat mirror I could see she looked relaxed and safe. My advice - don’t be afraid to buy the cheaper car seats. My new one is excellent quality.

Overall good apart from clip

It is a good size and easy to use. The main issue is my chihuahua twisted about while in it. That would not be an issue but the clip from the seat to the dog is huge. I do not know why? A normal size clip would be fine. The huge clip allowed my dogs leg to go into it. Was not easy to free her and could possibly cause an injury. It is just unnecessary for the clip to be that big. I plan to try taping it up to plug the gap.

This is quiet costly by comparison to others available, and I had bought one of those first but found it too flimsy. This seat has a metal frame and the materials are good quality and well made. I had a problem with the headrest strap and contacted customer service. They rectified the problem very quickly and were a pleasure to communicate with. A great buy.

Makes my little dog safe and able to look out which is what she likes. I had to readjust it after one journey as I had made it too low the weight of her made it go lower. I feel she is very safe, I live in the country and down country lanes when another car comes and I have to pull up sharply she is secure,

Liked the stress on car safety (rather than twinkly stuff for small dogs). Fits easily and strongly to front or rear seats, suspended above seat to prevent air bag discharge in the event of an accident. My dog is 2.5 k and can roam around the box to settle down and sleep. Small point - the tether clip provided was far too heavy for such a small dog and does not rotate, so the strap twisted until the dog could not lie down. now replaced clip with a rotating lighter one - all is fine. Very good quality overall.
