what this DVD really is, is a grainy 'i left the camera on' kind of thing- it shows the Vinnie vincent makeup era kiss being interviewed - (actually, it shows Gene and Paul being interviewed, with a few minutes of Eric Carr and even fewer of Vinnie), but there is little in terms of great insight. Eric appears nervous and eager to please, Vinnie appears bored!
you get ten minutes or so of the band waiting to be interviewed - which is literally 4 guys in drag sitting around - don't expect any unguarded comments, all you get is a bit of mumbling and Paul singing to himself, then you get the full unedited interview along with where they ask the same question over and over a couple of times because they want a more coherent answer. after an hour or so of this you get the edited version - i now see why editing is sooooo important! there are no new insights or revelations as the interview is aimed at people who maybe don'r know who kiss is!
then as a kind of bonus feature you get a very sheepish Vinnie at an early convention, in front of a small crowd (i've had more people in my garage). nobody asks him anything interesting, and he sort of side steps any question anyway- 'my guitar design is basically two V's on top of each other - like my name,' 'i really love Gene and paul (probably for legal reasons?)', about sums it up. much of this footage is Vinnie walking up to the very small stage area (looks like its held in a small conference suite), so if you like to see Vinnie walking (a little) and sitting down (a lot) and not really saying anything, then this is the DVD for you! theres no music either!
i do really like the DVD cover though (hence 1 star)!!!!
