Buena calidad de sonido y sin ninguna imperfeccion. Perfecto embalado y buena calidad de la funda del vinilo.

Este es el vinilo negro y normal. El edición Amarillo tuve que devolverlo porque estaba lleno de pompas de haberlo lacado o yo que sé, y daba saltos el tocadiscos. Ese no lo recomiendo. El vinilo de toda la vida si suena genial y sin cosas raras.

Primer disco de Coldplay, y el que los catapultó al gran público. Junto con "Rush..." de los mejores discos de la primera etapa.

Un disco brilllante, a mi me gusta de la primera canción a la última. Compra imprescindible para adentrarse en el mundo de Coldplay si no lo conoces. Y para los que le gusta también.

El vinilo tenía desgraciadamente una tara.
Al sacar el vinilo ya mi cuenta de que había un problema de calidad.
Cayeron granulado negro de prensado y había restos encima del disco.
Lo más importante concretamente es que tenía una mancha negra en el interior de masa mezclada con el amarillo del vinilo.

Very clean pressing, good sound - 20th anniversary yellow vinyl edition

This review applies to the translucent yellow 20th anniversary vinyl edition - cat#/bar code 0190295182502 released 20 November 2020, delivered, played and reviewed the same day (on pre-order)!

I guess the music needs no introduction as it's been around a surprising amount of time - er - like - 20 years. This new edition has no pops or clicks. None. Its flat like you'd expect too. It is warm sounding and pretty good to listen to. Maybe it isn't as transparent as you'd like (no pun intended) and perhaps its bottom end is a touch full in places. Nice to have the classic tracks on clean vinyl and I'd rather take the warm full sound over a lean one.

Leaving aside the transparent yellow vinyl there's nothing special done for the anniversary edition bar a bland sticker on the film wrap. Not even a lyric sheet, no making of book, no photos of early concerts, posters or tickets. Nothing. I measure 172g so decent weight disk much better than the 150g norm, and not far off the premium 180g. No mp3 or wav download voucher so Amazon's complimentary autorip will have to do for a digital copy if you haven't got one already (its worth checking 2nd hand CDs).

I'm giving this the full five stars owing to the very clean nature of the pressing and enjoyable sound which at the end of the day is what matters.

Amazon (sold and dispatched) - this album was in a large box in only its film wrap with no special LP cardboard box to protect it, along with 2 other purchases including a 500ml pump action bottle of sanitizer rattling around. This risked trashing the record and sleeve. Fortunately the record survived bar a couple of very minor things with the sleeve I'll let go as the disk is undamaged and so good. Please pass on feedback to always put LPs in the specialized LP carboard wrapper packaging no matter what, even if they will go into a larger outer box for delivery. I'm assuming you'll read this. Thanks.

one of those albums i keep coming back to whenever i'm anxious or stressed. the opening track: 'don't panic' has lines such as 'we live in a beautiful world, yes we do' really make me stop and take a deep breath and go on a walk. crazy to think that it's almost 18 years old. but it really is timeless, beautiful and calming. the tracks aren't complicated - and that's what makes it such an unforgettable album. i can find no other album that is as authentic and true to my own life as this one, and i recommend that everyone listens to it, and takes 41 minutes out of their day to just breathe.

When I first heard "Yellow" all those years ago, I just knew that this band was going to be special. I saw them live twice and will remember "Yellow" being played while large yellow balloons bounced around across the audience.

There was a rawness about Coldplay that I think has slowly been lost as they have pŕogressed. I couldn't afford to see them these days even if I could get hold of a ticket.

But this is a great album.

No doubting this is a great album but if you own it on CD or have access to streaming don’t waste your precious vinyl pennies. This hasn’t been mastered for vinyl and therefore suffers the same ‘loudness’ issues as the CD and many other albums produced during the late 90s/early 2000’s. Guy’s (bass) is too loud as is Will (drums) and this is at the cost of detail in Chris’s acoustic guitar and Will’s cymbols.

I saw Coldplay live 6 times from Rush of blood to the head to Viva La Vida and they were incredible mainly because it sounded better than the pants mastering of the albums from that period.

Basically if you don’t own it, great... buy it, it’s a great album and worthy of adding to your collection. But if you’re buying it again don’t bother. Stream it or dust off the CD player as you’ll receive no benefit from having it on another media.

Great re-release - issues with Side 1

A great album and good to hear it on vinyl.
There is however a minor pressing issue on the new vinyl on Side 1. There is transient noise on the right channel. This is apparent on 2 copies I have received from Amazon. It is very evident when going from track to track - One copy is a little less noisy than the other and Ican live with it.
No issues with side 2 and overall the vinyl master is great, clear and separated Instruments and lovely imaging.
Overall a good purchase apart from the minor side 1 issues.
