Funciona genial en mi MacBook Pro.
El aspecto es fantástico. Cuerpo de aluminio y parte superior e inferior de cristal templado.
He probado los puertos y funciona sin problema.
El MacBook reconoce el HDMI rápido y sin fallos.
Lo mejor: sirve para cargar el portátil y alimentar los dispositivos conectados mientras lo usas.
Lo que menos me gusta: la conexión al equipo.

el aparato va muy bien por lo menos con mi ipad pro pero tengo un problema y es que cuando lo conecto puedo ver los videos de los usb o tarjetas sd pero no tengo audio y lo mismo me pasa cuando lo conecto por hdmi al televisor puedo ver las imágenes pero no tengo audio en el televisor por eso lo del pero, esto también quiero que me sirva de pregunta por si alguien sabe como tener audio cuando lo tengo conectado ya que lo considera como si tuviera unos cascos conectados y no reproduce el audio salvo que se le conecte por bluethoot o se le pinche en el conector 3.5 que trae el hub unos cascos. por lo demás va genial.

A Good USB-C Hub For Certain Devices

This USB-C Hub adaptor from ARCANITE is a good Hub choice for users with certain devices that are limited to one USB-C Port, such as an iPad Pro or Macbook. Unfortunately, if you have a device that has multiple ports next to each other the design of this USB-C hub is going to cover up your ports and make them unusable.

The Hub has a dark space grey anodised aluminium body combined with glass on the top and bottom casing. It’s certainly premium feeling in the hand, and more unique to most traditional USB-C hubs that are just made mostly out of just plastic. Build quality is very good overall, it does not feel cheap and has just the right amount of weight to make it feel like a quality accessory. Whilst it does not have the exact fit and finish of an Apple product, it more than exceeds my expectations.

The Hub has a useful array of ports including a single USB 3.0 type A port, SD & micro SD card reader/writer, 3.5mm Audio Jack, a single HDMI 1.4 port and a USB C 60W Power-Delivery Port. I plugged in my charger into the Power Delivery USB Port, a USB flash drive, SD Card, HDMI and a pair of headphones into the hub all at once and everything was recognised without any issues. The Hub did get a warm quickly but never so hot that it was uncomfortable to touch. I did notice that you cannot have a Micro SD card and SD Card plugged in at the same time, it can only read one at a time.

The main criticism I have about this USB C hub is that the HDMI Port is only using the 1.4 specification, meaning its maximum capable output is 4k at a 30Hz refresh. If you plan to use this hub with a 4k monitor or TV, then unfortunately the smoothness in motion whilst scrolling will not feel as smooth because of the lower 30Hz refresh rate. It’s not unusable, but for me I much prefer a faster refresh rate. There are other alternatives that offer a full HDMI 2.0 output capabilities at 4k 60Hz, which is a night and day difference compared to 4k 30Hz. However, this dock is capable of a full 1080p 60Hz output, so if 4k isn't important to you and you're sticking with a 1080p screen this hub will be more than sufficient for 1080p HDMI video output.

The best way to attach anything to an iPad Pro.

The iPad pro has only one port - a USB-C type. Whilst this is good for compatibility with other devices it does limit what you can share with others who don't have an Apple device. So this hub from Arcanite does give you some very useful extra ways to connect. Firstly there's a headphone socket. I much prefer using wired phones to listen to music - I think the quality is better without having a wireless Bluetooth system between iPad and ear. So I think this is an excellent extra connection. Then there are two SD card slots - one for full size and one for micro types. Both will work at the same time giving you plenty of options for both viewing and uploading/downloading stuff. A full-size USB A socket is useful for attaching memory sticks and other peripherals. A full-size HDMI socket on one end gives you video playback options for TVs, etc. And then there's a USB-C socket to allow you to keep your iPad charged when the hub is blocking its own one. This also gives you more connection options.
It's a very neat device and appears to be fully CE tested for safety. The build quality is superb, it's quite slim and therefore won't be inconvenient to use. For the price I think it's good value.
I also tested this with an Android phone and an HP convertible laptop, both with USB-C ports, and this hub gave me excellent performance from SD cards and memory sticks, which I wouldn't normally be able to connect to them. This hub therefore has many uses beyond just being an iPad Pro accessory. Anything with a USB-C port could potentially use it. I like it very much.

This product is advertised as designed for ipad, but on the packaging it states MacBook pro, Air, USB C lap tops etc. I've evaluated on a MS Surface book and found it works well. For its size its quite heavy, but feels solidly built, some hubs connectors can seem loose even when new, but these are solidly positioned in the case.

The lap top has 2x USB sockets but additional ones are always welcome especially as the 2 on the lap top are close to each other, this allows a port on the opposite side of the lap top. It also provides an HDMI port, SD and micro SD card holder slots, a 3.5mm audio port and another USB C port.

The only down side is that the USB-C connection point is very close to the power cable, so I can't use and power my lap top. That's fine for uploading content from cards, but if using the HDMI to stream video it could be an issue. On a Mac book the device is likely to cover more than one of the existing USB-C ports and then you only get one in the device.

This type C USB hub is compact but very useful for the MacBook.

Featuring USB C power Delivery (PD 60W/20V/3A), 4kx2k HDMI, USB 3.0 Type A port, SD & micro SD card reader/writer, 3.5mm audio jack connections it allows you to connect to most accessories. I like that it also has a USB type C port so you can charge your computer whilst this is connected. USB 3.0 ports deliver at the super speed of 5Gbps, a revolutionary advancement compared to USB 2.0 port.

I got the black and it pretty nice glossy colour.

When plugged in, I would recommend putting your computer on a flat surface since there would a risk of damaging the type C connector if you caught it on your lap. This is due to it only having one point of connection, which will mean this is a real risk.

So far I haven’t had any issues with a USB data stick.

This would be a 5* accessory if it weren't for one little thing...

Build quality is excellent - very solid but still light enough to carry around. And it has a good selection of ports. HDMI out and audio out plus a full size USB 3.0 and a couple of memory card slots (so you can plug in a thumb drive or SD or micro-SD card, for example, and transfer stuff to and from your phone). The inclusion of a USB-C PD port means that you can also power/charge your device while this little hub it attached, so watching a video on an attached screen won't run your battery down.

BUT... the USB-C plug on the top of the hub doesn't stick out quite far enough to connect to my phone while the very thin case is on. I have to remove the case in order to attach the hub. Just a couple of millimeters more would have meant this could be attached with the case on making this hub far far more convenient.

My case is awkward to take off, and is already cracking on the corners so I don't like to take the phone in and out too often. That means that while this is useful, it probably won;t get used as often as it would otherwise.

Hugely extends output options for laptops and tablets with only USB-C ports

This a stylish and slim device that perfectly matches the appearance of a phone or iPad with glass front and back and a metal band between. On mine, the USB-C 'prong' is a bit wobbly, but quality is otherwise high and the device works well. The description says there are two USB 3.1 ports but there's actually only one. Even so, this has a very good range of ports that cover nearly every situation. The USB-C port supports pass-through charging too.

So it's great for a Macbook or similar that only has USB-C ports. And for iPad pro users (the latest version at least) now that iOS13 allows you to use external USB devices properly at last. No need to buy expensive adapters from Apple. You can transfer photos and videos to your iPad with memory cards, or plug in regular memory sticks, and send the iPad's output to your TV or projector with HDMI. All very useful.

Super quality, versatile and worth it.

This is a very well made, quality USB-C hub. Although meant to be for an iPad Pro, it will work with any device that has a USB-C port. I am using mine with my Huawei phone, and it works beautifully, turning a small device into a multi-media hub. And, as there is only one port on the phone, there are no others to block, which can be an issue on laptops. The hub has pretty much any option you need, from a headphone jack, to an HDMI port, plus CD and micro SC ports - AND a USB-C port so you can charge your device while you use it, which is perfect. I am really pleased with it and it has solved a lot of logistical problems for me.

Fits directly into any USB-C port and if you have a USB3 then you need an adapter which is easily available or with an additional extension as seen in the pictures

Works with any Windows or Mac computers and makes transferring files and using the HDMI function to display them on screen, can easily read from USB sticks, SD Cards, Micro SD cards and like the HDMI function enables you to display them instantly.

Very useful for an office environment or just for home to show off the family photos, it is a lovely small piece of kit and can be very easily stored in any carry case bought separately as seen in pictures.
